Research Associate Position Advanced Computed Tomography Imaging

The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree. This position requires a minimum of three years of postdoctoral research experience.

Responsibilities may include conducting experiments related to the advancement of 3D printed phantoms for Computed Tomography (CT) imaging, specifically focusing on their applications in evaluating innovative CT technology. A key aspect will involve developing techniques for 3D printing using multiple materials for spectral CT applications. Our laboratory has a notable track record in creating cutting-edge imaging phantoms through the utilization of PIxelPrint technology. The position offers ample opportunities for both independent and collaborative research with other labs within our university and beyond. Candidates with experience in CT hardware and software development and/or additive manufacturing will be considered favorably.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to evelop an individual training experience in research that allows the individual to attain personal career objectives while developing a career in an academic setting. The Research Associate will be expected to collaborate with other members of the lab in their research areas and provide contributions to further development of the research program.
