Experience counseling addiction patients and research experience. Candidate should be well versed in grant writing and performing clinical trial and/or bench research.

Must have the requisite credentials for licensure as a psychologist with Health Service Provider designation in Kentucky

Job Summary

The primary responsibility of this individual is to provide ambulatory psychotherapy and/or psychological testing for the Division of Gastroenterology and to conduct research activities related to psychiatry and addiction medicine through collaboration with physicians, therapists and other healthcare workers. This individual will provide critical mentorship and instruction to the residents with whom they practice. This faculty member will also provide clinical teaching and advising to
medical students and trainees in other departments throughout the College of Medicine. The
individual will be expected to be an active participant in the activities of and leader in the Division of Gastroenterology such as grand rounds, morning report, noon conferences, educational conferences, as well as serve on clinical committees that enhance the care of patients and operation of the clinical practice.
