Description
The University of Chicago's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience, is searching for a full-time assistant professor. The appointee will (a) have inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, evaluate and treat children and adolescents in our inpatient program at Ingalls Hospital, and engage in scholarly activities; (b) be responsible for completing an initial comprehensive admission workup, daily progress notes and the completion of a discharge summary; (c) provide outpatient psychiatric management of children and adolescents with psychiatric conditions; and (d) teach and supervise trainees and students, and conduct scholarly activity. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must:
1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent,
2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois.
3) be board certified or board eligible in child and adolescent psychiatry. Candidates who are board eligible will be expected to complete their boards in psychiatry within the first two years of hire.
