Rate of pay $13.70 per hour.
About Early Head Start: Early Head Start (EHS) is a federally funded community-based program for low-income families with infants and toddlers and pregnant women. Its mission is simple:
- to promote healthy prenatal outcomes for pregnant women,
- to enhance the development of very young children, and
- to promote healthy family functioning.
Job Responsibilities: The EHS Educator is responsible for providing high quality care through implementation of a set curriculum.The curriculum is designed to ensure developmentally appropriate practice and activities that will stimulate social, physical, emotional and intellectual development of each infant/ toddler. The Educator provides ongoing opportunities for first hand experiences; encourage children to observe, explore, discover and assist in gaining a sense of achievement and self-worth. Educators work as a team with assigned co-worker.
Education Requirements:
- CDA or FCCPC Credential
- Experience teaching in an infant/toddler classroom
