Research Analyst
LakeResearchPartners, a leading Democratic public opinion research and political consulting firm, is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for a Research Analyst position in our Washington, DC office. The selected candidates will work directly with LRP partners and support LRP work with progressive issue clients and/or Democratic political campaigns.
The ideal candidates will have some political and polling experience and be highly detail-oriented with the proven ability to follow through on assignments.
LakeResearchPartners serve as senior advisors to a wide range of advocacy groups, labor unions, non-profits, state and federal government agencies, foundations, political candidates, as well as numerous elected officials at all levels of the government. The firm is national in scope, with offices in Washington, DC, New York, and California.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Proofing documents, including reports, presentations, and tables of numbers
- Writing short client memos and components of reports
- Creating public presentations
- Conducting background research for projects
- Provide support for marketing needs as directed
- Attend external events of interest to the team and firm
Starting salary for a Research Analyst is $40,000 - $43,000 per year. Additional benefits include regular bonuses, paid time off, disability and health insurance (medical/dental/vision), 100% payment of healthcare premiums, and medical deductibles and co-pay reimbursement.

Preferred Skills:
- A level of political acumen
- A background in or understanding of data analysis
- 1 - 2 years of professional experience, which may include internship and fellowship experience
- Experience conducting opinion research
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- A commitment to the progressive movement and to social, economic, and racial justice
