25 Temporary Full Time Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, Greenhouse Positions. April 1, 2019-December 1, 2019.
Possible duties: Plants, cultivates, and harvests evergreen trees on Christmas-tree farm: Remove brush, ferns, other growth from planting area, using mattock, brush-hook, dibble. Clear, clean fields, fertilize, mow, weed-eat, spray, prune, trim trees. Complete tasks such as dig, bale, cut, move trees to a roadside pick-up, load the harvest up to 50 lbs. Scatter fertilizer pellets over planted areas by hand. Shear tops, limb tips from trees, use machete, pruning shears, to control growth, increase limb density, improve shape & other related Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, Greenhouse activities per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org). Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Must be 18 years of age. Lift, push, pull, unload or carry objects up to 50 lbs; may climb, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. Must have 1 months Christmas Tree Activity experience. No minimum education requirement. Applicants must be willing, qualified, to perform work described and available for entire period specified. $12.25 per hour daily/weekly hours: 7 AM-4 PM. 35-40+ (Plus) to include lunch break Monday-Friday. Possible weekend/holiday work. Variable weather conditions may apply. OT available, not required. Employer will comply with all applicable federal, state & local laws pertaining to OT hours.
Transportation: Will provide/pay cost of worker return transport, subsistence from worksite to place from which worker departed to work for employer if worker completes period of employment or dismissed from employment before end of work period above. Transportation and subsistence will be reimbursed (by check in 1st work week) for cost from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer, whether in the U.S. or abroad, to the place of employment. The worker is guaranteed employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays available during the contract.
