•Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician - Carpenter is responsible for the completion and repair of all in house carpentry.
•Minimum Qualifications
Education
High school degree or equivalent required.
Credentials
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Corian installation certification preferred. Completion of CPI training required.
•Physical Demands
1. Stand and/or walk constantly.
2. Sit occasionally.
3. Lift 50 pounds floor to waist frequently.
4. Push and/or pull 30 pounds 100 feet occasionally.
5. Carry 50 pounds 25 feet occasionally.
6. Reach overhead occasionally.
7. Bend, stoop, kneel, and crawl occasionally.
8. Climb 26 steps occasionally.
9. Climb 6-foot ladder five steps frequently.
10. Manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and balance within normal limits.
•Essential Functions
1. Demonstrates safe and competent use of equipment.
2. Demonstrates proper use of software applications to carry out duties.
3. Responsible for repair of hospital furniture, desks, cupboards, and in-house construction and maintenance projects according to applicable codes. Includes acquisition of all permits required.
4. Math skills preferred. Memorization, judgment and decision making required.
5. Cleans, organizes, and maintains the work area.
6. Repairs, inspects, and maintains all building systems including boilers, HVAC, emergency power, medial gases, electrical and mechanical as directed.
7. Assists in Code 99, Code Blue, Trauma Code, and other security incidents when requested.
