Visiting one-year Instructor in Plant Biology
The Biology Program at Ferrum College, Ferrum, VA invites applications for a one- year Visiting Instructor in Plant Biology. The successful applicant will teach courses in plant science and horticulture in both the Agricultural Sciences and Biology Programs. The ability to teach upper level courses in Plant Propagation, Greenhouse Management, Field Botany, Soil Science, and/or Quantitative Environmental Methods and Statistics would be advantageous. Applicants with interests in sustainability and community engagement are encouraged to apply, as there are many opportunities to collaborate in new initiatives with colleagues in Environmental Science and other programs across campus.
- A Ph.D. in Biology, Horticulture (or closely-related discipline) or D.P.M./D.P.H. is required.
- Evidence of successful undergraduate teaching is preferred.
ABD or comparable applicants will be considered if the terminal degree will be conferred by August 2019. A background check will be required.
